Weston Academy of Martial Arts and Warrior Gym have secured an impressive line-up of world-class fighters for their forthcoming extreme event at Hutton Moor sports centre on the Saturday, July 14. Stuart Davies has been in negotiations with one of the world's top mixed martial artists, Leo Negao of Brazil. The Carlson Gracie Brazilian ju jitsu instructor and former BJJ world champion will be facing the Swiss champion Yasubey Enomoto in this world-class professional MMA fight.

UFC, Cage Rage and Cage Warriors all have an interest in Negao and all eyes will be on him to perform at this event - his first UK fight. His opponent Enomoto is Swiss national champion, unbeaten in Thai boxing and Pro MMA. This will be an international Fightclub WAMA title fight and one of the main events of the show.

Weston's own Paul Hill will be fighting for the WUMA Pro Heavyweight World Kickboxing title. Hill, who works for Carbase in Weston and trains at Warrior Gym, is training every morning with trainer Davies for this fight. Hill said: "I can't believe this fight has come around - I have trained for years and always wanted to prove myself at the very top, this is my chance to achieve my ambition and with Stuart's direction and training I know I will have the belt at the end of the night."

The other main event will see the exciting super bantamweight Barry Lock defending his WUMA Pro title. Lock fought in January on the last fightclub event, in what has been described as the best kickboxing fight ever seen in the UK, which was aired throughout Europe.

Weston warrior Adam Kellaway, aged 17, will also be fighting his third full contact fight. Adam is a very promising unbeaten fighter with excellent all-round ability. Davies has already used his influence as a pro boxing trainer with the British Boxing Board to drum up interest in Adam with top pro boxing manager Jim Evans.

Paul Healy, Charlie Walbridge, and Luke Green will be representing Weston Warrior Gym and competing under full contact kickboxing rules. This event will be held in a boxing ring and will be aired on Sky Sports/TWC fight channel from Thursday, August 9, for six days. Warrior Gm and WAMA are situated in Sunnyside Road and have a full time martial arts and boxing gym with a pro boxing ring.
